Modular Health System

Modular Health System

Introduction

Welcome to the Modular Health System, a lightweight Unity package that gives any object health, hitboxes and damage, built from small components you combine in the inspector.

Whether it’s a player that respawns, an enemy with a weak spot or a crate that breaks, you add Health to the object, Hitbox to its colliders, and hook the events you need, with no code required.

πŸ”§ Key Features

  • Health with hurt, heal, kill and reset, plus On Health Changed and On Death events
  • Hitboxes with per-collider damage multipliers for headshots and weak points
  • Health modifiers that change or block incoming damage, including a built-in Invincibility
  • Floating damage numbers with Hitpoint
  • ContactDamage for spikes, lava or enemies that hurt on touch
  • A Pickup base class for health packs and other collectibles
  • Small effect helpers: SoundGenerator, SpawnableEffect, DeathEffect
  • Three example scenes: a simple full flow, a hitbox boss and a pickup system

πŸš€ What Can You Build?

  • Players with health bars, spawn protection and respawning
  • Bosses with weak spots that take double damage
  • Destructible props that spawn an effect when they break
  • Health and damage pickups

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Who Is This For?

Unity developers who want a clean, extendable health and damage setup that works with any weapon or attack system. It is also the damage layer used by the Modular Weapon System.
