Duck Shooter
Scene: DuckShooter_Multiplayer
The Modular Weapon System’s Duck Shooter as a co-op game. Every player gets a ship with its own color, shoots the waves of ducks together, and collects power-ups that swap and upgrade their weapon.
🚀 The Players
| Part | Setup |
|---|---|
DSNetworkPlayer | Variant of the MWS DSPlayer with a NetworkObject, an AnticipatedNetworkTransform and a NetworkAnimator |
| Network Weapon | On the root, follows the Phaser, Laser and Rocket weapons |
| Network Health | Syncs the ship’s health and despawns it on death |
NetworkPlayerInput | Moves and fires the owner’s ship right away and sends its target and shoot input to the server |
NetworkPlayerLevel | Syncs the weapon slot and level the server’s power-ups give |
NetworkPlayerColor | Tints the ship, its thrusters and its projectiles with the color the server gives |
NetworkPlayerSpawner spawns a ship for each client along a line, and spawns it again after a short delay when it dies, with its last weapon and level.
🦆 The Ducks
| Part | Setup |
|---|---|
NetworkWave | Runs the wave on the server only and spawns each duck on the network |
DSNetworkDuck | Variant of the MWS DSDuck with Network Health and NetworkDuckColor |
DSNetworkSoap | The ducks’ soap, spawned by the server with Network Auto Spawn |
| Power-ups | DSNetworkPowerUp, _Laser and _Rocket, dropped by the server with Network Auto Spawn. Only the server picks them up |
DSNetworkRocket is the network variant of the homing rocket, so every player sees it chase the same duck.
